About Us

Drogheda Tidy Towns was set up by local volunteers in 2007 to make Drogheda a better place to live, work, and visit. From the very beginning, our aim has been to create a cleaner, greener, and more welcoming town, encouraging pride in our community and working together to protect and enhance Drogheda for everyone.

In 2022, Drogheda Tidy Towns set out on an ambitious journey to create something truly special for our community. That year, we formed a dedicated subgroup to drive this vision forward.

Tidy Towns Drogheda

TidyTowns is a great way for civic spirited people in Drogheda to come together, to harness their ideas and energy and to help make a real difference!

A few months ago, we had the pleasure of presenting our very first Drogheda Tidy Towns Clean & Litter Free Community Award to Donal Lucey. It was a lovely occasion, and no one could have been more deserving. Donal’s years of quiet, steady care along the Dublin Road, litter picking, mowing, weeding, planting, tending the beds, painting gates and railings set a fantastic example of community pride in actionWe are now inviting nominations for our next recipient.Across Drogheda, individuals and residents’ groups work every day to keep their areas clean, welcoming and well cared for. From litter picks to ongoing attention to shared spaces, these efforts make a real difference and we want to recognise them.💚 Do you know someone who goes the extra mile to keep their area clean and inviting? Nominate them and help us shine a light on their work.⏳ Nominations close August 31stSend us a message or email us at tidytownsdrogheda@gmail.com with your suggestion. This isn’t a competition, it’s simply a way to say thank you and celebrate the pride people take in their community ... See MoreSee Less
