About Us

Drogheda Tidy Towns was set up by local volunteers in 2007 to make Drogheda a better place to live, work, and visit. From the very beginning, our aim has been to create a cleaner, greener, and more welcoming town, encouraging pride in our community and working together to protect and enhance Drogheda for everyone.

In 2022, Drogheda Tidy Towns set out on an ambitious journey to create something truly special for our community. That year, we formed a dedicated subgroup to drive this vision forward.

Drogheda Tidy Towns remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting the Boyne River in any way possible, such as the Annual Boyne Clean-Up, undertook a biodiversity study of the Boyne Estuary, from which we produced a book and erected interpretative signage.

A huge thank you to everyone who turned out this evening to help clear the basement areas around Laurence’s Street and St. Laurence’s Gate. Thanks to the volunteers from Louth Volunteer Centre and other members of the public, out in strength and doing fantastic work to remove overgrowth and visible litter from these problem areas. These areas have been highlighted by IBAL for improvement, and more importantly are now cleaner and better presented for the whole community.Great community spirit and super work by all involved — thank you! 👏💚#droghedatidytowns #louthVolunteerCentre #drogheda #LouthCountyCouncil #lovedrogheda ...
