Drogheda Tidy Towns works with councils, residents, schools, businesses, community groups, and volunteers to improve Drogheda for everyone.

About Us

Drogheda Tidy Towns was set up by local volunteers in 2007 to make Drogheda a better place to live, work, and visit. From the very beginning, our aim has been to create a cleaner, greener, and more welcoming town, encouraging pride in our community and working together to protect and enhance Drogheda for everyone.

In 2022, Drogheda Tidy Towns set out on an ambitious journey to create something truly special for our community. That year, we formed a dedicated subgroup to drive this vision forward.

Drogheda Tidy Towns remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting the Boyne River in any way possible, such as the Annual Boyne Clean-Up, undertook a biodiversity study of the Boyne Estuary, from which we produced a book and erected interpretative signage.

Drogheda Tidy Towns have embarked on many Biodiversity projects across the town including plantings, veggie boxes, stepping stone forests, and published a book showing the incredible biodiversity in the old Cement Quarry.

🗑️ Two New Bins Installed at Southgate! 👏A big thank you to Paul from Meath County Council for installing the two new bins at the bus stops at Southgate on the Dublin Road. 🙌These bins will definitely help with the management of litter in this areas, which have been persistent litter black spots.
