Bring It, Bin It! Help to keep our town clean and litter-free.

Attention Drogheda community! We need your help to keep our town clean and litter-free.

Over the past few months, Drogheda Tidy Towns has noticed a significant increase in littering of plastic bottles, cans, and glass bottles. This is not just unsightly, but also harmful to our environment.

During the clean-ups and litter picks, we made sure when possible to separate the litter we collected into different categories. We separate plastic, glass, and other recyclable materials. This was important to ensure that we didn’t simply move the pollution from one area to another, but rather that we were making a meaningful impact on the health of the river.

We are calling on each and every one of you to join our campaign to keep Drogheda Litter Free. Let’s work together to recycle, reuse and repurpose, and do our part in creating a cleaner and more sustainable community.

Did you know that Ireland will be introducing a Deposit Return Scheme Early 2023 to increase recycling rates of single-use PET plastic and metal beverage containers? This will help reduce litter, boost the recycling sector, create jobs and help us meet EU targets.

Drogheda Tidy Towns are committed to help our community to become more sustainable and work together, take action now and make a difference for our town and our planet.
