The artwork was completed as a collaboration between Drogheda Tidy Towns, the Dublin Road Resident Group, and local artist Ciarán Dunlevy — transforming a public space into a visual tribute to the town’s story and spirit.

Project Background

The mural was commissioned to add colour, meaning, and pride to the Dublin Road area. It was designed to capture the essence of Drogheda as the “Gateway to the Boyne Valley” and to reflect the town’s rich past, vibrant present and promising future.

Local stakeholders, including community representatives and Drogheda Tidy Towns volunteers, supported the project from idea through delivery — highlighting the value of community collaboration in public art.
