In 2022, Drogheda Tidy Towns were excited to launch Drogheda Tidy Towns colouring pages with local parents, teachers, and schools.
To expand on this initiative, Drogheda Tidy Towns connected with eight schools and coordinated a colouring competition. Each school and class ran the competition, encouraging children to colour in the provided pages and submit their work.
The competition was a huge success, with many enthusiastic participants showcasing their creativity and skill. In the end, a winner from each school was selected and we presented them with their special ceremony in council office Fair Street, May 2023. The students, their families, and teachers really enjoyed the experience.
Drogheda Tidy Towns hope that these colouring pages are fun, create awareness in the home, classroom and encourage conversations around sustainability, biodiversity, litter in our historic town, and how small changes can have a massive impact on the planet.
