Biodiversity in the old Cement Quarry

Drogheda Tidy Towns are delighted to be working with Tony Conaghy who has produced a fantastic book showing the incredible biodiversity in the old Cement Quarry.

The beautiful wild flower meadows and water areas are home to an unbelievable range of wildlife, flora and fauna. Deputy Mayor Kevin Callan tabled a motion to have the Quarry site considered for designation as a special protected area of conservation at last Mondays council meeting
