About Us

Our Mission:

Drogheda Tidy Towns endeavors to promote the core principles of a clean and tidy town in which people can live, work and play. The Committee seeks to engage with all stakeholders from Louth County Council, residential area representatives, to the education, business, and volunteer sectors to ensure a coordinated and effective strategic approach to areas such as the environment, area enhancement, litter management, biodiversity, sustainability, and projects to improve the public realm of the town including public parks and spaces.

About Us:

Drogheda Tidy Towns committee was set up in 2007 with volunteers in cooperation with Drogheda Borough Council and then Louth County Council and we’ve been going strong ever since. We are on our 14th gold medal in the 2021 Supervalu Tidy Towns competition, and we are aiming to maintain gold in 2022.

At present time we have 9 members on the Tidy Towns Committee. With the help of the people of Drogheda and our community partners and volunteers, we do consistently well in the Drogheda Tidy Towns
competition and in 2021 we secured our 14th Gold Medal.

Our Volunteers:

Being a volunteer with Drogheda Tidy Towns allows individuals to practice their passion for the good of their community, whether that passion concerns the built environment, landscaping, sustainable living, and local wildlife or organizing a litter pick; there is a place for it in Drogheda Tidy Towns. We encourage volunteers to come and work together to make our wonderful town of Drogheda be the very best it can be. We can only do this with your help.
